Kirby's unbeaten run now stretches to 7 games with the last 5 games won.
Kirby started the game at cold and windy Ibstock a bit nervy - being caught at the back early doors a couple of times but steadied the ship and took control. The first goal came halfway through the first half when Verrall found himself wide outside the box near the Ibstock goal line, his cross deceived the Ibstock keeper and went in from a tight angle.
Kirby started the second half the same as the first and conceded a goal within a minute of the re-start. Chris McCathie came off the bench to score from a set piece - ghosting in at the far post to slam the ball past the Ibstock keeper.
